It is amusing how people won’t even accept that it was Obama himself that used that name.

He used the name of his stepfather, he had little knowledge of his biological father who left when he was an infant. I’ve heard this is supposed to mean he was trying to hide his fathers name, but its not at all unusual for a step child in this situation to adopt his stepfathers name.
